Tracey Thorn, 1/2 of everything But the Girl, returns with her 2nd solo Lp, "Out of the Woods" on March 5th. It's an import, sadly - i cna't find anything about a US release.

I got a hold of the album( ssshhh ) and have been listening non-stop. It's mellower than the last few EBTG albums, but still has the electronic elements and tracey's killer voice.

produced by Cagedbaby and Ewan pearson, it has a delicious 80's new wave type feel. Lyrically, it's similar to some of the great stuff on "temperamental" - a similar feel can be found on "makes no difference".

Stand outs are "A-Z" ( vaguely about the abuse of gay teens ), Falling off a Log, By picadilly Station I Sat Down and wept, raise the roof and It's all true.
