the last couple of nights I rediscovered 2 of my favorite movies ever. loved them when they came out so many years ago, and always loved the original TV show reruns on wtbs, but I have recently been collecting various books by Charles Addams and was struck on how vastly closer the movies, and especially "Addams Family values", are to his work. the TV show was a cute sugar coated version where nobody died and everything ended well. Charles's work was twisted! people died left and right!
I do dearly love Carolyn Jones, but I think Angelica Houston hit the coffin nail on the freakin' head with her portrayal.
...Plus, she had all the best lines.
