because Goldfrapp seem to be moving away from decent club mixes and more toward tedious artsy remixes, they rejected Rex The Dog's mix of "Happiness". Sad, because it's really fun.

those same tedious artsy remixes killed off Bjork for me, btw.

not as horrible as I expected, but less than amazing. Maybe it's a grower? She has that ability. I hated "secret" the first 457 times I heard it, but Now I love it. Still hate "get together", though. That one is just unforgivable.

it's hideous and I can't stop watching it. why someone felt the need to cover this a mere year after the original is beyond me. Robey went on to star in Friday the 13th - the series. obviously, she rules.

Oh, this geek yelled at me at QFC because I came within 7 feet of his wheelchair. "hey, I'm comin' thru! look out! Watch where you're going! You're in my way!" and, like I mentioned, I was 7 FEET AWAY! So I replied "oh, go fuck yourself". it wasn't a good day.

we had a company bowling tournament at sunset bowl Friday night. It was a pretty good time, although I still wasn't feeling right. It was also a sort of going away for Weez, who is going to work at a different office. Good times and sad times. How hideous are the orange shirts? I took mine off because I was embarrassed after the game when we sat and watched some pretty awful karaoke ( except for Heidi's, which was exceptional, Hello?).

I was really ill with a terrible cold, sore throat combo last week. feeling much better now, but you should have heard me on friday. I sounded like darth vader. I called my parents and my dad didn't recognize me. funny. didn't even miss any work.

went out in West-Seattle saturday night for Cali's birthday and had a blast. at one bar, a Chinese restaurant with karaoke on one side (affectionately called "young whore"), mark and Grant found themselves dissatisfied with the 30 minute wait for drinks and so they went across the street to a 7-11 and bought a case of beer and smuggled it in. We kept them hidden in Bree's purse although they didn't last long. The lady that walked around cleaning up was perplexed by all the empty Coors light cans because the "young whore" only serves Rainier beer in cans. go figure?

So that is exciting. the best part is that TanQ absolutely hates him, wants to kill him in his sleep and barfs almost every day because he is here.

Last night, a couple of my friends got gay bashed. in a place where me and my friends go all the time. 1 in the morning. many witnesses. a smashed nose and a broken ankle. a gay neighbourhood in the 2nd most liberal city in america.

this is happening more and more frequently here. why? they are blaming it on an increase in condos in the neighbourhood and a new crowd moving in. who is this crowd and how can they afford these condos? a smallish 1 bedroom in capitol hill was over 600k last time I looked.

this isn't about me and where I hang out - but more how, even in 2008, in one of the most liberal cities in the world, this bullshit is still happening.
